My mom died a few years ago. For a long time after, (and sometimes still) when I would think of it- run the phrase through my mind- "mom's dead"- it was such a jolt. I would physically feel like I was falling for a second. Will Boggs heard the demo of this song on the last night of the recording session for At Your Door. Yancy put on a pot of coffee around 2 am and they proceeded to turn the saddest song I've ever written into the best time I've ever had recording. Thanks and kisses yall.
